A good friend requested that I do a synopsis of last week’s CPAC [Conservative Political Action Conference] held at Orlando, Florida, which, for anyone who watched, must have been one of [the] most motivational and inspirational happenings as of late. More so considering the impending threats of the Socialist / Communist Revolution which, today, holds the most powerful office in the world.

For those of us who have been in the doldrums since November 3rd, these four days [Feb 25 – 28], were nothing less than a revival, a resurgence, and a rebirth all rolled into one. My friends, my one, most important takeaway after watching and listening to all the CPAC speakers, was the fact that the Republican Party and conservative ideals are alive and well. After 36 days of the new Democrat catastrophic Biden’s Marxist regime, CPAC was, for me, a bittersweet moment. As far as I was concerned, in a short four days, we were able to see the colossal difference between what they [Democrats] are all about and what we, conservatives are all about. Better yet, what Socialism and Communism are all about and what a Constitutional Republic is all about. CPAC made me miss the Trump administration more than ever before.

It is impossible for me to give you the names of all the 643 speakers at the convention. Suffice it say, it was like the “Who Is Who” of the heart and soul of our Party, from our beloved Gov. Ron DeSantis, to Donald Trump Jr., Rep. Jim Jordan, Sec. Mike Pompeo, Gov. Kristi Noem, Fox’s Pete Hegseth, among others, you name it. They were all there – one big happy family. Markedly absent was ex-Vice president Mike Pence, who refused to attend, presumably after the rift between him and Trump following the January 6th events when Pence presided over a joint session of Congress to count the questionable electoral votes to confirm Joe Biden as President of the United States.

As we all know, the keynote speaker at CPAC was no other than Donald Trump himself. At the closing of the Convention on Sunday, February 28th, amidst a standing ovation of a frantically loving crowd and the soundbites of the “God bless the USA” song, ex-President Donald Trump made his grand entry to the stage, which was his first public appearance since leaving office – a comeback to public light.

Trump’s speech lasted for a 1 ½ hours. Right off the bat, Trump said: “our movement…is just getting started. I stand before you today to declare that the incredible journey we began together four years ago is far from over.”

Trump told a passionate crowd of diehard conservatives, who, like the rest of us watching from home, were anxiously waiting to hear from [the] leader of our Party. I thought our expectations of the moment were not only met, but greatly surpassed. Trump’s speech had it all and then some. He spent a great deal of time, as well he should, highlighting Joe Biden’s outrageous policies in the latter’s first 36 days in office, from his asinine open-border immigration policies to how Joe Biden has “shamefully betrayed America’s youth” with his COVID lock-down antics keeping children locked in their homes. Trump also bashed the Biden administration over their claim that they were “starting from scratch” referring to the COVID vaccines and the tampering of the pandemic.

One of my personal favorites was when he [Trump] blasted the Party’s “RINO’s” [Republicans in name only], which he called out by name, one by one, including turncoats such as Mitt Romney and Liz Cheney. Trump also made it clear that he was not about to start any new political Party, such as had been rumored by the fake news. On a couple of occasions Trump flirted with the possibility of him running for president in 2024. He ended his speech at CPAC by saying: “We will first take back the House and then a Republican President will make a triumphant return to the White House. I wonder who that will be?” he said.
Make a long story short folks, friends, followers. For me personally, CPAC and Trump’s unification speech came at precisely the right time. I don’t know about you, but I am still suffering with the withdrawal symptoms of our November 3rd loss. Moreover, like I have said many times in my prior articles since the new Communist Junta took over, the fact that Biden has done all the bad that he has done in little over one month since he has been in the office, makes it all that more difficult to swallow. Matter of fact, for all those in a universe of naïve Americans who still believe that Socialism and/or Communism is the next best thing that could happen to the U.S., I tend to be sorry for them. But, for us, for the old-school Cuban Americans, for Venezuelans, or for anyone who has suffered the pain and misery that comes along with this heinous political system, Biden’s start has sent a clear message of the perils that are in store for this great nation should they [Democrats] continue to have it their way – continue on their road to a “fundamental transformation” commitment started back in 2008 with the evil Manchurian Candidate Barack Hussein Obama.

My dear friends, followers, after four days of watching CPAC, after listening to all the fantastic guest speakers and after listening to our leader Trump on Sunday, I can tell you without hesitation, in no uncertain terms, there is hope after all. There is hope where I thought there was no hope still left. The light at the end of the tunnel is shinning again. The Republican Party, conservatism, and the conservative foundation on which this great nation was founded are alive and well. Donald Trump is the man. Donald Trump is the Republican Party. As a proud conservative Republican, as a proud Cuban American and as a proud naturalized citizen of this, the greatest nation on the face of the earth, I call upon all of you my friends, followers, to stand firm in what we believe in; to stand firm in our confidence that, together, we will reclaim what is ours; that, together, we will eliminate, once and for all, this wave of Socialist / Communist ideologues and ideology that today threatens to ruin this nation, like all other nations that have suffered this evil system throughout history.

Thank you CPAC and thank you Donald Trump. You are still my President. Long live democracy. May God save us and may God save the United States of America.
