So, based on an exit-poll by the Pew Research Center, in the 2020 elections, there were approximately 1.2 million registered Cuban American voters, of which approximately 55% or 660,000 voted for Trump and 540,000 [ ± ] voted for Biden and the Democratic ticket. My narrative today is dedicated to all 540,000 of you who voted for Biden and the Democratic ticket.
One of the first announcements made by Joe Biden and his team is their intent to bring the U.S. closer with Cuba and reverse the sanctions, restrictions and regulations imposed by the Trump administration. Biden’ future strategy with Cuba includes relaxing travel restrictions, easing investment opportunities and reducing limitations on remittances from Cubans in the states. In short, president-elect Biden intends to continue the legacy of his former boss, the Manchurian Candidate, Barack Obama who formally re-established relations between Cuba and the United States in July 2015 with the opening of the Cuban embassy in Washington and the U.S. embassy in Havana.
And, for the record, our revered new First Lady, Jill Biden, went to Cuba for three days, from October 6th to 9th, 2016. While in Cuba, Ms. Biden did not hesitate to praise Castro for all the good he had done for our country. In 2019, Donald Trump, the president that Cuban American Democrats just helped to oust, banned group educational exchanges, curbed family remittances and tightened economic sanctions on the island. Biden and Harris intend to reverse all that. Biden now wants to open travel to Cuba, allow flights and cruise ships to ferry people between the two countries and, again, intends to remove restrictions preventing Cubans in exile from sending money to their relatives in the island. Cheers to new President!
So, what will the Obama / Biden legacy of goodwill with Cuba’s Communist dictatorship will do for the future for Cuba, the Cubans, and the Cuban regime? Well, to begin with, this open policy will do nothing else but embolden, empower, and bolster one of the bloodiest, most heinous, and most evil dictatorships in modern history. Biden’s bolstering strategy will only contribute to further Cuba’s Communist regime to stay in power a while longer – giving Cuba a direly needed stream of income sufficient to prevent Cubans from accessing democracy and freedom in the island anytime soon – as if sixty-two years of oppression were not long enough. Our gratitude to all Democrats for helping to keep Castro’s Communist Revolution in power a bit longer.
Now, here is the deal, I have said it before, and I will say it again. I can understand, comprehend, and appreciate for the average idiot out there, the uninformed, the envious, the jealous, the resentful, the illiterates, the ideologues, for a new generation of indoctrinated millennials, for Anglo-Saxon mainstream Americans who cannot spell the words “Communist” and/or “Communism”, even for a new generation of Cubans born under the Castro regime, I can understand, maybe even accept for all in these clusters to vote for a Joe Biden – poor souls, they don’t any better, do they?
What I cannot understand, comprehend, and accept, for the life of me, is for any Cuban American from the “old-school”; from the historic Cuban exile community; from the Peter-Pan era; from the early 60’s and 70’s exile universe; for any honorable, noble, and principled Cuban American of this epoch to vote for a candidate or for a Party whose platform is designed to bolster, empower and embolden the very same system, the very same regime, the very same ideology, which you all, along with your parents and predecessors, claimed to despise so very much; claimed to blame for your losing everything you had; your freedom; your legacies; your heritage, your precious island and then some. How can you?
In recent debates and previous forums and discussions held on this very same subject matter, I am never ceased to be amazed how you Cuban American Democrats, rejoice in defending, in championing your anti-Communist and anti-Castro legacy. Really? Excuse me.
One of the most popular arguments cried by many of you traitors is how much good an open policy will do for Cubans and for the Cuban economy and how much Cuba’s communist regime will relax their historical oppression of the Cuban people. For those of you avowing this feeble, unconvincing, and weak argument, let me remind you that there could be nothing farther from the truth. On the first go round with the repulsive Obama, Cuba’s Communist regime remained as oppressive if not more than before. Neither were there any increased opportunities for private enterprise investment as originally expected. Matter of fact, it was quite the opposite, all new income streams were just as quickly diluted among an elite leadership in Cuba’s corrupt administration, while the average Cuban in the island was further impoverished, if yet Ms. Biden sees it the other way.
Bottom line of this narrative, enough of the hypocrisy of all you so-called Cuban American Democrats. In the simplest way I can say it. You cannot have your cake and eat it too. Enough is enough of your double-standards. There is no other way to say it. Your Party [Democrats] and your President are all for aiding and abetting Cuba and the Cuban Communist regime – that is it. President Trump and the Republican Party were for deterring, for dissuading and discouraging any type of relationship with Cuba and its Communist regime. If you voted for Biden, stop pretending, stop faking, stop professing to be so righteous, stop your purists claims of patriotism; your contentions of anti-Communism; stop your pedants clamors of Cubanism.
You are all but a bunch of no-good deserters, of traitors, of turncoats, of wimps. Your vote for Biden and your allegiance to this Democratic Party explains why we lost Cuba to a Fidel Castro and why Castro’s regime has stayed in power for sixty-two years. It is precisely because of all of you that we lost Cuba to begin with.
To all 540,000 of you Cuban American democrats or however many you were; to all of you who voted for this wimpy, decrepit, stupid, Communist, and his Cuban-praising wife, you are all a disgrace to our heritage; you are a shame to our legacy. I do not mind telling you all to your face, how much I despise every single one of you. I would urge you all to keep encouraging, supporting, and championing your new president to embolden, spur and reassure the Communist animals in Cuba to keep at it as they have been for six decades. Good for you all. Great job you are doing.
Matter of fact, I would urge and encourage you all to take advantage of your new president’s renewed open policy and move back to Cuba as your vote for this president and this Party suggests you never really wanted to come here to begin with! May God save us and may God save the United States of America.
